Lincoln - Team Kaos' Tommy Ralston has qualified for the 2007 USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals and will represent the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at the championships in Lawrence, Kan., May 11-13.
Ralston is an individual national qualifier whose cumulative individual point total in the North Central Collegiate Cycling Conference (NCCCC) was among the highest among individuals not qualifying as part of a team.
A mechanical engineering major at UNL, Ralston is a Cat. III racer for Team Kaos who competes in the Collegiate "A" category.
This year’s collegiate nationals schedule features a team time trial on Friday, followed by the Saturday road race at Lake Perry and a criterium in downtown Lawrence on Sunday. Team Kaos Public Relations Director Sean Weide will serve as one of the USA Cycling race officials for the event.

Iowa City, Iowa - Team Kaos' Matt Landen won the Category III division of the Iowa City Road Race Saturday.
Landen broke away with five other riders on the second of four laps of a hilly, 13-mile loop. Riding together, the five quickly opened up a huge gap on the field as the 52-mile race entered the final lap.
"Two riders in our group fell off by the end of last lap," Landen said. "I outsprinted the other three riders to take the win."
Joining Landen on the podium for Team Kaos was Matt Pavlovich, who finished second in the 39-mile Cat. IV race, which was won by Adam Price of the Melon City Bike Club Inc.

Team Kaos' David Rogers finished second overall in the Masters 45+ division.
Lincoln - Matt Pavlovich’s victory in the Category IV division led eight podium finishes by Team Kaos Sunday at the Lincoln Plating Spring Cycling Classic.
Pavlovich grabbed the lead in the first of three stages by winning the 13-mile time trial around Branched Oak Lake by seven seconds over Devin Bethune of Elkhorn Valley Cycling Powered by Monster. Pavlovich maintained his lead by breaking away with Bethune in Saturday afternoon’s road race, finishing only a second behind Bethune. In the final circuit race Sunday, Pavlovich finished third to cement the overall win.
“I just tried to keep it safe,” Pavlovich said, referring to the windy, rainy weather that made for less-than-desirable cycling conditions.
Pavlovich received the support of two other Team Kaos teammates in his races. John Vondracek finished third overall and Matt Farnham was seventh. Vondracek was fifth in the time trial but made up ground by finishing third in road race, nearly two minutes ahead of the fourth place finisher.

Team Kaos was scheduled to send two riders to Iowa and Missouri this weekend. But Mother Nature wasn't cooperating.
Bryan Redemske will be racing in the Finchford-Roubaix spring classic circuit race Sunday in Finchford, Iowa. The 50-mile race begins at 12:30 p.m. and makes 10 laps of a rolling, five-mile circuit.
Matt Landen's plans to head to St Louis for the Tilles Park Spring Criterium were thrown for a loop when the race promoters canceled the event due to the threat of bad weather. Rainy, cold (low 40s) conditions and the threat of snow were the deciding factors, said James Roseberry of the Gateway Cycling Club.

Des Moines, Iowa - Matt Landen delivered another podium finish for Team Kaos on its first weekend of Midwest racing with his third place in Sunday's Iowa State Fairgrounds Criterium in Des Moines.
Landen broke away with two others 10 minutes into the 50-minutes-plus-two-laps race on the one-mile circuit. The trio worked together to eventually lap the field. But Landen, who is in his first season with Team Kaos, couldn't out-sprint either of his breakaway companions.
