Team Kaos had a successful weekend at Nebraska's last cycling event of the year—the Lincoln Cyclocross Weekend. John Vondracek started it out with a good showing in the masters 40+ and 50+ race, landing a mid pack finish in a very strong field. In the category 3 / 4 race James Blake came in third while Rich Pearson finished mid-pack. In the 1/2/3 race Matt Farnham battled hard for 3rd all the way but got nipped at the line by Jesse Peterson from Monkey Wrench. At Sunday's state championship race Pearson's day started out badly when he rolled a tire and crashed, ending up 10th out of 12, but he still earned a silver medal for 50+ Nebraska riders. Jeremy Eisenhauer then finished mid-pack in the category 4 race, one of his first cyclocross races. At the 3/4 race Pearson tried again and was able to get 5th. In the 1/2/3 event Farnham again came in 4th, and became the Nebraska category 2 champion. Blake also got the bronze for category 3. Overall medal count: 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. Well done!!
