Boyd held off a flurry of attacks from the Trek/HRC team in Saturday's Papillion Twilight Criterium to take a commanding lead heading into Sunday. Steve Tilford and Bill Stolte (Trek/HRC) joined forces with Matt Landen (Team Kaos/Nebraska Medical Center) to attack and eventually lap the field. Tilford launched another attack to take the win, leaving Stolte second and Landen third.

BEND, Ore. -- Ian Grayof Team Kaos/Nebraska Medical Center is in 76th place after the first stage of the Cascade Classic. Gray is one of the general classification hopes for his on-loan team, Legacy Energy.
Thirty-five miles into the stage, Gray's rear derailleur failed, making it impossible to shift. When he finally got service from the Team Legacy Energy team car, the bike he was given was too small and Campagnolo-equipped. The longtime Shimano user then had to launch a solo chase.
